Shakespeare in Education

After premiering our show we were surprised to find how much kids loved it. Kids asked their parents to take them to see it again, teachers approached us about using the show in their season, and many of our audience members told us how great our show would be in highschools.

The Author's Mission

shakespeare in educational settings

As a mother and kids’ circus coach, playwright Veronica Rosas, always strives to make learning fun and exciting. By using creative play in her classroom and at home, she nurtures an environment where kids enjoy learning - even when it’s challenging.

With 79 Ways to Die, she hopes to introduce Shakespeare to children in a way that supports their long term love of theater.

About the Show

Each Shakespearean tragedy is approached as a fast paced, energetic comedy. Students will get a quick introduction to each show while keeping it fun and easy to understand. The cast approaches the often ridiculous plot lines with a comedic wit that makes Shakespeare accessible and interesting - the water guns and puppets help, too.

Interactive Theatre

As an interactive show, students will get the opportunity to come on stage and participate. Although this can be done with all students, interested schools have the option of inviting the theatre department to participate in the show. We would love to work with your performing arts program to help facilitate this and include young theatre students in our show.

Royalties

There are a few ways to use our show for educational purposes. Currently, we are only offering royalties and production rights to high school theaters.
